Machine Vises and Bench Vises
Vises for drilling and milling machines and the workbench. The section splits into 360° swivel vises, precision and toolmaker vises, cross and compound vises, plus MVB and MSO machine vises, right-angle and globe vises. Jaw widths run from 63 to 320 mm, most models at 100, 125 and 160 mm. Main brands are Proma and FDB Maschinen, with single models from BZSU and Gomel.

Types of Vises and How to Choose
Swivel or Fixed
Swivel vises are standard machine vises on a rotating base with a 360° scale: the workpiece can be turned to the required angle without removing the vise from the machine table. Fixed vises are more rigid and cheaper, and are used for a standard operation where the angle does not change.
Precision, Toolmaker's and Cross-Slide
Precision and toolmaker's vises have accurate surfaces machined on all sides. They are used for grinding, marking out and precision milling, and can be placed on their side. Cross-slide (compound) vises move the workpiece in two planes with handwheels, which is convenient on a drill press instead of a cross table.
Jaw Width and Opening
Choose the jaw width to suit the machine table and the typical workpiece: for bench drill presses vises of 80–125 mm are usually chosen, for vertical and knee-type milling machines 125–250 mm, for large machines 250–320 mm. The maximum opening must exceed the largest dimension of the part being clamped.
Mounting and Accuracy
Machine vises are mounted on the table using keys in the T-slots and fixed with bolts. The cast iron body damps vibration. A thrust bearing reduces the effort on the handle, and disc springs make the clamping more secure.
FAQ
How do swivel vises differ from standard ones?
Swivel vises sit on a base with a 360° scale: the workpiece angle is changed without repositioning the vise on the machine.
Which vise should I fit on a drill press?
For bench drill presses, vises with 80–125 mm jaws are usually suitable. If you need to shift the workpiece without re-clamping, use a cross-slide (compound) vise.
How are machine vises mounted?
The vise is placed on the machine table using keys and bolted into the T-slots.
Do the prices include VAT?
Two amounts are shown next to each price: incl. 20% VAT (large) and excl. VAT. We provide an invoice and a delivery note for legal entities and sole proprietors (FOP).
How do you deliver and how much does delivery cost?
By Nova Poshta, Meest or a freight carrier, at the carrier's rates. Pick-up from our warehouse in Dnipro is free. Goods are shipped after the invoice is paid.
