Description
This precision swivel machine vise with 160 mm jaws clamps the part firmly during milling, drilling and grinding. The swivel base with a degree scale turns the workpiece through 360° in the horizontal plane without re-clamping, which helps with angled work. A special element in the movable jaw pulls the part down against the body so it is not pushed upward.
Jaw width 160 mm, maximum opening 175 mm with the jaw plates in the standard position. A needle bearing on the screw reduces handle effort, jaw play is set with an adjusting screw, and the jaw plates are removable. The vise can also be used without the swivel base. Suited to machine shops, repair services and production.
Precision rigid-clamping swivel machine vise with a jaw plate width of 160 mm and a maximum opening (with plates in the standard position) of 175 mm, used for accurate and secure clamping of a workpiece during machining on milling, drilling, grinding and other machines. Structurally, the tool is a pair of parallel jaws, one of which is fixed, while the other is pressed against the workpiece by a trapezoidal screw. A needle bearing ensures smooth running of the screw. This makes it possible to achieve maximum clamping force without much effort on the handle. Play of the movable jaw is adjusted with an adjusting screw at the rear of its body. The jaw plates are removable, which reduces the overall maintenance cost of the product and also improves work efficiency. The vise is equipped with a swivel mechanism with a degree scale. This allows the workpiece to be rotated 360° in the horizontal plane relative to the base. If necessary, the vise can be used without the swivel base.
How the precision vise works:
When horizontal clamping pressure is applied, a special element inside the movable jaw increases the force pressing the workpiece down onto the body. This prevents the vise from lifting the part and preserves the shape of its surface.
A workpiece can be clamped in this series of vises in four different ways:
1. Standard initial arrangement (plates in their normal positions)
2. Movable jaw unchanged, fixed jaw plate moved to the reverse side
3. Fixed jaw in its original position, movable jaw plate moved to the reverse side
4. Plates of both fixed and movable jaws moved to their reverse sides
These options increase the clamping range of the vise. The smallest part can be held using the first plate arrangement, the largest - using the fourth.
Attention!
-
During operation, make sure the vise is not subjected to impacts, otherwise its accuracy may be impaired
-
To keep the vise operating smoothly and accurately, the moving parts must be lubricated regularly
