Tools and Accessories for the Workshop and Shop Floor
Professional tools and accessories for metalworking are split into three sections. Power tools: OPTIgrind bench grinders, belt and combination sanders, Optimum and FDB Maschinen magnetic drills. Pneumatic tools: air angle grinders. Machine tool accessories: lathe chucks and jaws, magnetic stands and chucks, compound tables, Proma and Metallkraft pipe benders, a KAISER balancer. We can help you match an item to your machine.

How to pick tools and accessories
Start with the machine
Accessories are bought for a specific machine, so first write down its data: lathe model and spindle nose, table T-slot size, throat and quill travel of the drill press. A chuck, jaws, magnetic chuck or compound table must match these sizes, otherwise you will need adapters. If the data is not at hand, send us the machine model and we will check compatibility.
Electric or pneumatic
Power tools run on 230 or 400 V and need nothing but a socket. Air tools are lighter and do not mind overload or moisture, but they need a compressor with spare capacity: an air angle grinder for 230 mm discs uses a lot of air, and a weak compressor will not let it reach working speed. Where a compressed air line already exists, air tools are often more convenient.
Stationary or hand-held
Stationary bench grinders and belt sanders give consistent results and suit repeat work: sharpening, deburring, fitting parts. A magnetic drill and an air grinder are needed where the part is large and cannot be brought to the machine, for example when erecting steel structures. A workshop usually needs both. Plan a solid base or bench for stationary machines, and storage space plus a stock of spare wheels and drills for hand tools.
