Sliding Table Panel Saws
A sliding table panel saw cuts chipboard, MDF, plywood and furniture panels lengthwise, crosswise and at an angle, with a scoring blade preventing chipped edges. The section holds FDB Maschinen FR and MJ6132 series, the Holzstar FKS 315-2000E and the Proma PKS-315F. Most have an aluminium carriage on roller guides, 3200 mm long on the FR 32B, FR 32BF, FR 32CF and MJ6132TS.

How to choose a panel saw
What a panel saw is for
A panel saw has a long sliding carriage that carries the board, so the cut runs straight along the whole sheet without chipping. It is the machine for furniture production and for cutting laminated chipboard, MDF, plywood and furniture panels when exact sizes and clean edges matter. The board rides on the carriage instead of being pushed across the table, so one person can cut a full sheet. For ripping boards and beams in a small workshop a table saw is the simpler choice.
Carriage length and board size
Match the carriage to the material: a standard chipboard sheet is 2800 x 2070 mm, so full-sheet cutting needs a 2800-3200 mm carriage. Shorter carriages are fine for plywood, panels and small parts. Rip capacity at the fence and frame rigidity also matter: a heavy cast iron or steel base damps vibration.
Scoring blade and blade tilt
A scoring blade pre-cuts the bottom laminate layer ahead of the main blade, so both faces of the board stay clean. Without it, laminated boards chip on the underside. Tilting the main blade up to 45 degrees allows bevel cuts, and the blade diameter sets the maximum cutting height: most machines here take a 315 mm blade.
Power and extraction
The panel saws here are built for a three-phase 380-400 V supply and continuous work, so check what load your line and circuit breaker can carry. Connect a dust extractor to the ports under the table and on the blade guard: fine chipboard and MDF dust is harmful and hides the cutting line. Choose motor power with a margin if you plan to cut hardwood.
