Description
The FDB Maschinen MB204A double-sided thickness planer machines the stock from both sides at once: the top cutterhead sizes the thickness and the bottom one flattens the opposite face. Boards and beams come out with two parallel surfaces in a single pass, which saves a separate jointing step in production.
Planing width is 400 mm, stock height 8 to 120 mm, minimum length 390 mm. Cut depth is up to 4 mm on the top head and up to 2 mm on the bottom head. The four-knife cutterhead runs at 4800 rpm, the motor is 7.5 kW at 380 V, and the machine weighs 450 kg. Intended for woodworking shops and furniture production.
