Radial drill Optimum RB6T

The radial drill Optimum RB6T is designed for drilling small holes in various engineering applications. The RB6T radial drill belongs to the light series and drills materials such as non-ferrous metals, wood and plastic with various types of cutting tools.

Technical description:

• Power supply of the machineRB6T: a 0.75 kW, 220 V motor, which also allows it to be used in garages, country houses and small furniture workshops.
• The advantage of the radial drill is the large vertical spindle reach of 115 — 430 mm; the spindle is belt-driven, adjustable and locked with a lever. GATES drive belts are highly efficient and have practically no slip, so there is no power loss during operation.
• The drill head of the machine can tilt ±45°, which allows drilling angled holes. Spindle speed is changed by moving the V-belt on the five-step aluminium pulleys of the motor and spindle, which are manufactured accurately for smooth and precise rotation. The drill head is moved by a rack-and-pinion mechanism.
• The spindle working surfaces are made with high geometric accuracy, which reduces radial runout to 0.03 mm
• Cutting tools are held in quick-change drill chucks, adapter sleeves or directly in the Morse taper 2 bore. Tapping productivity can be increased with an M5 — M12 tapping head. Tools are ejected with a special MSP1 ejector for MT1 - MT3 tapers, which reduces tool removal time. Hole depth is set with an adjustable stop.
• Despite its low weight of 40 kg, the machine is stable and sufficiently rigid.
• Feed is manual via handles with an extended lever, which reduces physical effort and increases productivity. The control panel buttons on the radial drill RB6T are protected from moisture and dust by transparent covers. The emergency stop button is easy to reach and acts instantly.
• The column is cylindrical, 60 mm in diameter, and the table rotates 360° around it. The table is rectangular with special slots for clamping workpieces and fixtures. Machining of inclined surfaces is possible by tilting the table ±45°. The table is moved by a rack and pinion: turning the handle moves the table vertically, and it is locked with a lever.
• Box-type workpieces up to 500 mm high are placed on the base. It is large enough, has internal stiffening ribs and parallel slots for clamping.
• The work area of the radial drill is enclosed by a special transparent screen.
• Protection from rotating parts is provided by limit switches on the belt drive and drill chuck guards. If either is opened, the machine switches off automatically.
