Radial drill Optimum RB8S

The light radial drill Optimum RB8S is designed for drilling small-diameter holes in low-hardness materials such as wood, plastic or non-ferrous metals. Harder metals require cutting tools of smaller diameter. Thanks to its accuracy and wide range of settings, the radial drill Optimum RB8S is suitable for repair and pattern shops of industrial plants, car service stations, or as training equipment for vocational schools. 

Technical description:

• Spindle rotation radial drill Optimum RB8S is provided by a quiet and efficient aluminium-alloy motor with a finned housing for better heat dissipation.
• The spindle speed of the radial drill Optimum RB8S is changed by moving the drive belt to the corresponding pulleys. Gates toothed belts are used for optimal torque transmission, preventing slip and power loss.
• The spindle radial drill of the Optimum RB8S runs in precision ball bearings, which ensures high rotational accuracy with radial runout of no more than 0.030 mm.
• The massive cast iron base, reinforced with stiffening ribs, gives the Optimum RB8S radial drill reliable stability. Under certain loads, for the best results, it is recommended to fix the base to the foundation/floor.
• The support column radial drill of the Optimum RB8S has a toothed rack along which the work table moves. The work table of the Optimum RB8S can also be locked in a tilted position (+45°/-45°).
• The work table surface is precision-machined and has diagonal T-slots for clamping fixtures. 
• A special channel around the perimeter of the work table is provided for coolant circulation. 
• To extend the range of drilling parameters, the Optimum RB8S radial drill has a large spindle reach. 
• If several identical holes need to be drilled, an adjustable drilling depth stop can be used.
• For operator safety, a swivelling adjustable guard made of impact-resistant glass is used, and an emergency stop button for the Optimum RB8S radial drill is provided on the control panel.
• The guard and the top cover of the belt drive housing have limit switches that prevent the Optimum RB8S from starting while changing tools or spindle speed.
• The Optimum RB8S radial drill offers an optimal price/quality ratio.
