Description
The Proma DSO-1000 wood lathe turns cylindrical, shaped and tapered surfaces in hardwood and softwood. The part rotates between centres while the chisel forms the profile. It is used for one-off and small batch work in pattern and joinery shops and on construction sites. The SKZ-92 copying attachment is sold separately and lets you make identical parts.
Turning length is 1000 mm, swing over bed 350 mm, 4 speeds from 850 to 2510 rpm changed by moving the belt, a 400 W 230 V motor and a weight of 35 kg. A faceplate and safety guard are included. Made by Proma, Czech Republic. It suits home and small joinery workshops.
The DSO-1000 wood lathe is used for machining cylindrical, shaped and tapered surfaces in hardwood and softwood. The rotating part, held between centers, is machined with a cutting tool, which allows various shapes to be produced on the surface. A copying attachment allows a large number of identical parts to be made. Wood lathes are widely used in one-off and small-batch production, in pattern and joinery workshops, and in construction.
