OPTIdrill D 33Pro metal drill press

The industrial drill press for metal OPTIdrill D 33Pro has been produced with a V-belt drive since early 2018. The success and popularity of the OPTIMUM B33Pro drill press led to this upgrade. Following the requests of many users, another important function has been added to the OPTIdrill D 33Pro - a drilling depth stop.

Technical description:

• The drill press OPTIdrill D 33Pro stands on a cast iron base to which the machine column is firmly fixed. This design provides stability and resists vibrations arising during operation. The base of the drill press is cast with T-slots for clamping machine vises and large workpieces.
• On the column of the machinea drilling table is securely mounted; it has diagonal slots for clamping vises, rotary tables and other machine fixtures. Around the perimeter of the table there is a special channel for collecting coolant and draining it into the tank for reuse. The drilling table can easily be moved along the column by turning a crank, and it can be tilted by 45° or swiveled around the column axis by 180° in either direction.
• To save time while maintaining accuracy when drilling many identical holes, the OPTIdrill D 33Pro drill press has a spindle quill travel depth stop.
• As described above, the machine D 33Pro has a V-belt drive with aluminum pulleys and GATES toothed belts. This design transmits rotation from the motor to the machine spindle most accurately, without belt slippage.
• The metal guard covering the belt drive has a built-in limit switch that prevents the drill press from starting when the guard cover is open.
• The the machine OPTIdrill D 33Pro is fitted with a high-quality, precise spindle running in high-precision bearings, which ensures the specified drilling accuracy - drill chuck radial runout of no more than 0.020 mm. Spindle reversing allows tapping. The drill press spindle has a throat depth of 254 mm and nine speeds in the range from 120 to 1810 rpm.
• On the control panel of the machine there is a conveniently placed emergency stop button, a machine start button protected against moisture, dust and undervoltage, and two digital displays: one showing the drilling depth and one showing the spindle speed.
• The spindle feed hub is made of cast aluminum and has comfortable rubber handles.
• The OPTIdrill D 33Pro drill press is fitted with a reliable 1.1 kW industrial motor for 380 V power supply.
• For operator safety, the machine control circuit operates at 24 V DC.
