Description
The Proma PPS-220H is a metal band saw for one-off and small-batch cutting of round bar, pipe, profiles and solid workpieces in steel and non-ferrous metals. A hydraulic cylinder controls how the frame lowers and coolant is fed into the cut, so this band saw machine suits work in a stock-cutting area.
At 90° it cuts 220 mm round or 220 x 220 mm, 150 mm at 45° and 90 mm at 60°. The three-phase 1100 W motor runs on 400 V at 36/72 m/min, the blade is 2460 x 27 x 0.9 mm, the vise is quick-clamping and the machine weighs 220 kg. It is built for machine shops, stock-cutting areas and metal depots doing one-off and small-batch cutting.
The PPS-220H band saw is designed for cutting materials of various density: from aluminium, aluminium alloys and non-ferrous metals to high-strength steel. The saw is designed for cutting parts with a maximum diameter of 220 mm.
The PPS-220H consists of cast iron parts with metal guards. This combination of materials provides sufficient machine rigidity at maximum cut. The saw can be set for cutting at 90°/60°/45°. The saw blade is driven by a three-phase motor. The saw frame descent speed is adjusted with a hydraulic damper cylinder. The model is equipped with a coolant system.
This equipment is used in small-batch and series production. For example, in a blank-cutting shop the band saw is an essential link in the production chain.
