Description
The Proma PPK-200U metal band saw cuts round and profiled stock, pipe and solid workpieces in steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. Smooth hydraulic frame feed and blade cooling give a straight cut without overheating, so this band saw machine is well suited to cutting batches of identical blanks to length.
At 90° it cuts 205 mm round or 205 x 215 mm, 135 mm round at ±45°. The three-phase 1100 W motor runs on 400 V at 24/41/61/82 m/min, the blade is 2360 x 20 x 0.9 mm and the machine weighs 190 kg. It is built for machine shops, stock-cutting areas and metal depots doing one-off and small-batch cutting.
The PPK-200U band saw is designed for cutting materials of various density: from aluminum, aluminum alloys and non-ferrous metals to high-strength steel. The saw is designed for cutting parts with a maximum size of 205 x 215mm.
The PPK-200U consists of cast-iron parts with metal guards. This combination of materials ensures sufficient rigidity of the machine at the maximum cross-section. The saw can be set for cutting at angles from -45°to +45°. The saw blade is driven by a three-phase motor. The lowering speed of the saw frame can be adjusted with a hydraulic damper cylinder. The model has a coolant system.
This equipment is used in small-batch and batch production. For example, in a blank-cutting shop the band saw will be an essential link in the production chain.
