Description
The FDB Maschinen SG5018 metal band saw cuts round and profiled stock, pipe and solid workpieces in steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. Smooth hydraulic frame feed and blade cooling give a straight cut without overheating, so this band saw machine is well suited to cutting batches of identical blanks to length.
At 90° it cuts 180 mm round or 180 x 305 mm rectangular stock, 130 mm round at +45°. The 750 W motor runs on 380 V with four speeds of 34/41/59/98 m/min, the blade is 2360 x 20 x 0.9 mm, the coolant tank holds 10 l and the machine weighs 158 kg. It is built for machine shops, stock-cutting areas and metal depots doing one-off and small-batch cutting.
The FDB Maschinen SG5018/380V band saw uses a blade welded into a loop to cut workpieces. Such machines are divided into cantilever and gantry types depending on the saw head design. The SG5018/380V is a cantilever band saw for low-load plants or auxiliary production. The machine features a simple design, easy maintenance, reliability and cutting accuracy.
