Description
The Metallkraft MBS 155 K is a metal band saw for cutting pipe, angle, profiles and solid bar in steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. This compact band saw machine fits a fitter's workshop, a stock-cutting area or an installation site, and it also makes angled cuts.
At 0° it cuts 150 mm round or 140 x 150 mm rectangular stock, 95 mm at 45°. The 2 kW motor runs on 380 V, band speed is 29-78 m/min, the blade is 1735 x 13 x 0.9 mm, coolant supply is built in, and the saw weighs 86 kg. It suits fitters' and repair workshops, small production sites and installation crews.

- The Metallkraft MBS 155 K saw easily cuts various materials: aluminum, steel, PVC profile, copper, etc.
- The metal-cutting band saw is fitted with a variator for smooth adjustment of the blade speed from 30 to 80 meters per minute.
- The band saw's planetary gearbox runs fairly quietly.
- Low vibration and noise are achieved by a mechanical gearbox in an oil bath with hardened and precision-ground gears.
- Each metal-cutting band saw is checked for geometric accuracy at the manufacturer's plant.
- Low-speed DC drive motor with carbon brushes; thanks to the low speed, brush life is increased tenfold.
- A motor temperature and current monitoring system on the band saw protects it from damage.
- The drive and idler band wheels are made of cast iron; cutting can be done dry or with coolant.
- The rigid saw frame rests on rubber feet.
