Description
The UV3141 clutch-brake is a multi-disc clutch with pneumatic engagement for crank presses, guillotine shears and other forging and pressing machines. It periodically connects the drive shaft to the driven shaft and brakes it while the motor keeps running. This friction clutch is used in press repair.
Key selection data: torque 1250 kgf·m, braking torque 200 kgf·m, weight 108 kg. Support discs are high-strength cast iron, bushings and pins are heat-treated steel. The hub engages the shaft through involute gearing. Suited to plant maintenance teams and press shops.
The UV clutch-brake is installed on presses and other equipment to periodically connect the driving shafts of the machine drive to the driven shafts, and to brake the latter while the electric motor runs continuously.
The multi-disc clutch-brakes UV3132, UV3135, UV3138, UV3141, UV3144, UV3146 with pneumatic engagement are used on forging and pressing machines (mostly crank presses and guillotines).
Design features of the UV clutch-brake:
-Rigid, balanced block design.
-Cylinder stroke can be adjusted as the friction linings wear.
-Clutch cylinder stroke that prevents double strokes of the machine.
-Driving and brake bushings and pins are made of steel and heat-treated.
-Involute gear engagement of the clutch-brake hub with the eccentric shaft.
-Clutch and brake support discs are made of high-strength cast iron.
