Description
The UV3138 clutch-brake is a multi-disc clutch with pneumatic engagement for crank presses, guillotine shears and other forging and pressing machines. It periodically connects the drive shaft to the driven shaft and brakes it while the motor keeps running. This friction clutch is used in press repair.
Key selection data: torque 630 kgf·m, braking torque 100 kgf·m, weight 75 kg. Support discs are high-strength cast iron, bushings and pins are heat-treated steel. When ordering, specify the shaft fit: keyed or splined. Suited to plant maintenance teams and press shops.
The UV clutch-brake is installed on presses and other equipment to periodically engage the driving shafts of machine drives with the driven shafts, and to brake the latter while the motor runs continuously.
Pneumatically actuated multi-disc clutch-brakes UV3132, UV3135, UV3138, UV3141, UV3144, UV3146 are used on forging and pressing machines (mainly crank presses and guillotines).
