Description
The UV3132 friction clutch is a multi-disc clutch-brake with pneumatic engagement for crank presses, guillotine shears and other forging and pressing machines. It periodically connects the drive shaft to the driven shaft and brakes it while the motor keeps running.
What matters for selection is the design: support discs in high-strength cast iron, bushings and pins in heat-treated steel, and involute gearing between hub and shaft. The cylinder stroke can be adjusted as the friction linings wear. Suited to plant maintenance teams and press shops running equipment with UV series clutches.
The UV clutch-brake is installed on presses and other equipment to periodically engage the driving shafts of machine drives with the driven shafts, and to brake the latter while the motor runs continuously.
Pneumatically actuated multi-disc clutch-brakes UV3132, UV3135, UV3138, UV3141, UV3144, UV3146 are used on forging and pressing machines (mainly crank presses and guillotines).
UV clutch-brake design features:

-Clutch cylinder stroke that prevents double-stroking of the machine.
-Driving and brake bushings and pins are made of heat-treated steel.
