Crane scales (hanging scales) are designed for weighing loads during loading or unloading by crane. Hanging scales significantly speed up the receipt and dispatch of raw materials and finished products.

VK ZEUS III RPU scales come with a radio remote control unit (RPU) and are designed for use on open sites and where reading the scale display is impossible or difficult. The scale and the RPU communicate via wireless data transmission. The RPU is a mobile battery-powered terminal that controls the scale and shows the weighing results on its built-in multi-line color TFT display. If necessary, the accumulated weight can be saved to the built-in memory card (up to 20 million weighings). The RPU has a built-in USB 2.0 interface for transferring accumulated data to a computer. The free "Summator" software supplied with the scales allows you to keep records of the results and is a nice addition to the purchase.

At industrial enterprises such scales are used not only as process equipment but also for commercial purposes.

The metrological characteristics of VK ZEUS III RPU scales fully comply with DSTU EN 45501:2007.

The scales are intuitive to operate and require no special skills. The scales provide the following functions:

• weight averaging (HOLD function);

• selectable Gross/Net display;

• weight accumulation (summing the results of several weighings);

• tare;

• hold of the reading after the load is removed;

• peak load memory;

• saving accumulated results to the built-in memory;

• real-time clock display.

For long battery operation the scales have energy-saving functions.

A distinctive feature of the RPU is the ability to control a group of VK ZEUS scales (up to 16 units) on one frequency band.
