Description
The Optimum OPTIgrind GH 15T is a drill grinder for users who sharpen often and need accurate, easy results. It is designed first of all for carbide drills and solid cutting tools. The drill is clamped in a collet chuck, angle and diameter are set on a scale on the panel, and the grinding zone is enclosed by a guard.
It comes with 11 ER20 collets for 2-13 mm and 17 ER40 collets for 13-30 mm, stored under a lid on the panel. The angle scale covers 90-145 degrees and the supply is 220 V. Rubber feet and a carrying handle make it suitable for both production shops and workshops.
Optimum GH15T — a drill sharpener developed by German engineers in response to numerous requests from customers who use drills often and need frequent, accurate and easy sharpening. The drill sharpener is primarily intended for sharpening carbide and solid cutting tools.
Technical description:
- In this drill sharpener model the process is automated, which allows fast, easy and accurate sharpening that cannot be achieved by hand. To automate the process, the machine comes with a collet chuck and a set of collets of various sizes.
- Collet set of the drill sharpener Optimum OPTIgrind GH 15 T:
- ER20 collets, 2 to 13 mm, 11 pieces;
- ER40 collets, 13 to 30 mm, 17 pieces. The complete collet set is stored on the machine panel under a hinged cover.
- This model allows the required angle and diameter of the drill to be set. The panel has a 90-145 degree scale for correct and accurate sharpening.
- German engineers took care of safety — a protective device is used when fitting the drill into the chuck.
- The operator clamps the drill in the collet chuck by hand and tightens the special nut with the tool provided.
- The machine has a sharpening port into which the chuck with the clamped drill is inserted. The machine is switched on, the grinding disc gets up to speed, and the operator makes semicircular turning movements. After one side is sharpened, remove the chuck, turn it by 180 degrees, insert it into the sharpening port again and repeat the operation. The drill is thus sharpened on all sides, including the cutting edge and lips.
- The operator can work on the drill sharpener without any protective equipment, since the work area is enclosed by a special guard.
- The collets, which are subject to constant friction during sharpening, are made of a specially developed alloy with nickel, manganese and chromium. This composition is designed specifically for this type of load.
- The Optimum OPTIgrind GH 15 T drill sharpener was immediately popular with users. Its small size and weight allow it to be placed almost anywhere, and the 220 V mains supply makes it usable everywhere, not only in factories.
- The drill sharpener stands firmly on a horizontal surface thanks to rubber suction feet, and a convenient handle on top of the housing makes it easy to carry.
- The attractive design, reliability and functionality of the sharpener Optimum OPTIgrind GH 15 T immediately appealed to users. The model quickly became popular and a best seller.
