Description
The DISTAR DDS-W Concrete segmented diamond core bit drills blind holes for socket and switch boxes in brick walls and in plain or lightly reinforced concrete. Electricians fit it into a rotary hammer chuck through an adapter, and it can work without coolant.
Diameter 82 mm, length 65 mm, internal M16 thread; a carbide centre drill with an M16/SDS-plus adapter is included. Dry or wet drilling: a water feed adapter removes dust and slurry. Never use a diamond bit in hammer mode. Suited to electricians and renovation crews.
Distar DDS-W Concrete Magnet segmented diamond core drills are designed for drilling blind holes for socket boxes in walls of brick, unreinforced and lightly reinforced concrete without coolant. The drills are made in diameters 68, 72, 82. They have an internal M16 mounting thread and come with a carbide centre drill and an M16/SDS Plus adapter (for fitting the drill in a rotary hammer chuck).
To increase drilling productivity and prevent dust when drilling holes, a special adapter supplying water to the working zone for effective slurry removal is recommended.
Unlike core bits with carbide cutting elements, diamond core drills must never be used in hammer mode.
