Description
The DISTAR DDS-W T-Concrete 68x65 is a segmented diamond core bit for blind socket box holes in brick, plain and lightly reinforced concrete. Electricians use it to prepare openings for sockets, switches and junction boxes. It can drill without coolant.
Key specs: 68 mm diameter, 65 mm length, high-carbon steel body; the bit comes with an M16/SDS Plus adapter and a carbide centre drill, so it fits a rotary hammer chuck. Dry or wet drilling; a water feed adapter removes dust and slurry. Never use diamond bits in hammer mode. Suits electricians and renovation crews.
Distar DDS-W Concrete Magnet segmented diamond core drills are designed for drilling blind holes for socket boxes in walls of brick, unreinforced and lightly reinforced concrete without coolant. The drills are made in diameters 68, 72, 82. They have an internal M16 mounting thread and come with a carbide centre drill and an M16/SDS Plus adapter (for fitting the drill in a rotary hammer chuck).
To increase drilling productivity and prevent dust when drilling holes, a special adapter supplying water to the working zone for effective slurry removal is recommended.
Unlike core bits with carbide cutting elements, diamond core drills must never be used in hammer mode.
