Description
The ROD-102 roller block is designed for linear guideways with a long stroke of moving machine units. It is a rolling support in which rollers circulate around a rigid guide along a closed path. Guideways on these blocks offer high stiffness, low motion resistance and accurate positioning without stick-slip at low feeds.
Height H 32 mm, length L 115 mm, width B 52 mm, dynamic load rating 49.5 kN, travel speed up to 25 m/min, reduced friction coefficient 0.002-0.004. Suited to repair and retrofit of metal-cutting machines.
The units are designed for linear motion guideways with long travel of moving assemblies at speeds of up to 10 m/min.
Guideways with roller units offer high rigidity, low motion resistance (reduced friction coefficient 0.002-0.004), high positioning accuracy, no stick-slip at low feeds, and long service life under intensive operation at higher speeds.
The unit consists of a rigid thin guide around which rolling elements (rollers) circulate along a closed path. The rollers are kept from falling out by cages and springs.
