Description
The Proma PPS-270HPA is a metal band saw for one-off and small-batch cutting of round bar, pipe, profiles and solid workpieces in steel and non-ferrous metals. A hydraulic cylinder controls how the frame lowers and coolant is fed into the cut, so this band saw machine suits work in a stock-cutting area.
Maximum cut is 270 mm round or 350 x 220 mm rectangular at 90°, with cutting angles of 90°, 60° and ±45°. The two-speed 1.5 kW motor runs on 400 V at 34/68 m/min, the blade is 3160 x 27 x 0.9 mm, the machine weighs 360 kg and comes with a stand. It is built for machine shops, stock-cutting areas and metal depots doing one-off and small-batch cutting.

Cutting is one of the main blank preparation processes in any metalworking production. Band cutting machines with endless band blades significantly reduce metal loss. Energy consumption is also reduced, the production process is improved and product quality is increased.
The PPS-270THP consists of an arm with a motor mounted on it, a worm gearbox, a control panel and a hydraulic cylinder (damper). The arm is mounted on a bracket that allows the blade to be set at an angle from -60 to +45 degrees relative to the workpiece axis. There is a blade tensioning device with an indicator. A vise and a stop are installed on the base for secure clamping of the workpiece.
The machine, including the two-speed motor, is controlled by an electrical control unit. A cooling system removes heat from the blade during operation.
