Wood spindle moulder SF-40/1500

The PROMA SF-40/1500 wood spindle moulder is designed for milling various elements of wooden structures: surface machining of wood, cutting grooves and rebates, surface milling, stopped milling and edge machining. Both end mills and disc cutters can be fitted. The machine has a sheet metal base and a cast iron work table, which makes the table more stable in operation. It comes with a parallel and angle fence and table extensions. The base has holes for mounting to a workbench. The machine has a dust extraction port for a vacuum cleaner. Its low weight makes it easy to transport.

Applications

The PROMA SF-40/1500 has a fairly wide range of uses. It can be used to make shaped wooden parts, machine profiles, and for flat and contour milling. This equipment was originally developed for profile and flat planing. The machine can process workpiece edges and is used to make simple tenons, skirting boards and grooves. It can be used both in large woodworking plants and in private workshops. The finished machine goes through certification confirming its compliance with all standards and safety rules.

Design and operating principle

The PROMA SF-40/1500 spindle moulder consists of several main elements: frame, work table, carriage, spindle shaft, insert spindle and cutting tool. The spindle shaft is located on the carriage under the work table, and its upper end passes through an opening in the table. An important advantage is the adjustable carriage — you can set it to the required position by raising or lowering it slightly. The insert spindle with the cutting tool is mounted on the upper end of the spindle shaft. The fence included in the kit allows straight-line milling.
