Description
The DISTAR DDS-W 72x65 mm segmented diamond core bit drills blind holes for sockets and switch boxes in brick walls and in plain or lightly reinforced concrete. This socket hole core bit can be used without coolant, and with a special water feed adapter it cuts faster and without dust.
Specs: 72 mm diameter, 65 mm length, internal M16 thread, dry and wet drilling. It comes with a carbide centre drill and an M16/SDS Plus adapter for fitting into a rotary hammer chuck. Hammer mode must not be used with a diamond bit. A good fit for electricians, installers and renovation crews.
Distar DDS-W Concrete Magnet segmented diamond core drills are designed for drilling blind holes for socket boxes in walls of brick, unreinforced and lightly reinforced concrete without coolant. The drills are made in diameters 68, 72, 82. They have an internal M16 mounting thread and come with a carbide centre drill and an M16/SDS Plus adapter (for fitting the drill in a rotary hammer chuck).
To increase drilling productivity and eliminate dust when drilling holes, a special adapter supplying water to the working zone for effective slurry removal is recommended.
Unlike core bits with carbide cutting elements, diamond core drills must never be used in hammer mode.
