Description
The PML2000 is a permanent magnetic lifter for lifting, holding and moving steel plates, bar stock, slabs and round workpieces. It needs no power supply: the magnetic field is switched on and off with the handle, and a lock prevents accidental release. A V-groove in the base helps it hold cylindrical parts.
The rated capacity of 2000 kg applies to low-carbon steel; for cast iron the factor is 0.5 and for low-alloy steel 0.75. Real capacity also depends on material thickness, air gap and surface roughness. The magnet system is made of NdFeB. It suits metalworking shops, steel stockyards and installation crews using an overhead crane or hoist.
The PML2000 magnetic lifter is reliable lifting equipment whose main advantages are compactness, easy commissioning, long service life, secure holding and an affordable price. The PML2000 magnetic lifter holds the load at the required height without the risk of it breaking away. Devices of this series are optimized for handling metal sheets, cylindrical workpieces, blocks and other items made of ferromagnetic materials.
The «PML» permanent magnet lifter is designed for lifting, holding and moving loads. The lifter can lift sheet and section steel, slabs, cylinders and other metal materials attracted by a magnet.
The lifters are easy to operate, safe and simple in design, which is why they are widely used as lifting equipment in industry, at plants, in warehouses, in the transport sector, and in various installation and construction work. The ease of use of the lifter improves working conditions and efficiency.
Design and operating principle:
Design:
- The «PML» permanent magnet lifter has a magnetic power section made of NdFeB magnetic materials. -The magnetic field is switched on/off by moving the lifter handle.
On top of the lifter there is a shackle for convenient handling, at the bottom - a V-groove for better grip of cylindrical loads.
-The mechanism has a sealed housing containing the permanent magnet and its switching mechanism.
-The handle has a locking mechanism against accidental release
Load capacity is also affected by the composition of the load metal.
- Low-carbon steel (rated), load capacity factor - 100%.
- Medium-carbon steel - 0.95 of rated.
- High-carbon steel - 0.90 of rated.
- Low-alloy steel - 0.75 of rated.
- Cast iron - 0.50 of rated.
The load capacity of the lifter depends directly on the thickness and surface quality of the load being lifted.
Before operation, the load capacity percentage must be calculated according to the metal thickness using the «load capacity proportion chart» (SEE BELOW).
If the surface roughness Ra is less than 6.3 µm, the lifter operates at 100% load capacity (rated). If the surface roughness Ra is 6.3 µm or more, the lifter may detach from a load of rated weight.
The load capacity percentage of the lifter must be calculated using the curve on the «Base/metal air gap» chart. Compare these two values and calculate the actual load capacity of the lifter.
The curve charts are also shown on the lifter housing.
To choose the optimal permanent magnet lifter, calculate its load capacity based on the characteristics of the load being lifted and the main factors affecting the lifter's load capacity.
