## Description

These high-precision universal screw-cutting lathes are designed for a wide range of turning work: external turning and boring of internal cylindrical and tapered surfaces, drilling, countersinking and reaming, as well as cutting external and internal metric, inch, module and diametral pitch threads.
The lathes are made with a distance between centres of 1000 mm - 16VT20P-21 and 1500 mm - 16VT20P-22.
Design features:
- The design and specifications of the lathes ensure high-quality machining of parts from various materials with modern cutting tools at optimal cutting conditions.
- Rigid 4-position tool post.
- Hardened and ground bed guideways ensure a long service life and higher machining accuracy.
- Pneumatic tailstock unloading.
- The apron has its own rapid traverse drive for the carriage and cross slide and allows working to stops, with automatic feed disengagement on contact with the stop when the load on the rack pinion increases.
- The feed gearbox has a highly rigid kinematic chain and allows threads (including 11 and 19 TPI) to be cut without changing the change gears.
- Guards for the cutting zone and chuck plus electrical and mechanical interlocks ensure safe operation.
