Technical description:
- The quantum series is intended for home use, garages and home workshops.
- The massive base plate of the bench of the drill press OPTIdrill DQ 20 is reinforced with stiffening ribs, has a ground working surface with T-slots for fixing auxiliary tools and can serve as a work table when handling longer parts.
- The column of the OPTIdrill DQ 20 drill press has a rack along which the work table moves.
- The precision-made work table has stabilizing stiffening ribs and a ground surface with T-slots.
- A coolant channel runs around the perimeter of the table working surface.
- If necessary, the work table of the OPTIdrill DQ 20 drill press can be tilted left/right by 45° and rotated 360° around the column.
- The main power unit of the drill press is a modern 0.55 kW induction motor in a fan-cooled housing.
- Smooth spindle running is ensured by ground aluminum pulleys and cogged V-belts.
- The belt guard cover has a limit switch that prevents accidental start-up of the drill press in the open position.
- Drilling accuracy is ensured by a precision spindle mounted on high-precision ball bearings.
- Spindle radial runout is within 0.03 mm.
- By moving the drive belt across the pulleys according to the chart, the optimum spindle speed can be selected, allowing work with materials of different hardness.
- The drill press control panel is protected against moisture and dust (IP54).
- An emergency stop button is provided to cut power to the machine in an emergency.
