## Description

The flexible coupling assembly is used in Bulgarian-made T series hoists to transmit rotation from the hoisting motor shaft to the hoisting gearbox shaft. It also compensates for relative shaft misalignment and shocks when the equipment is switched on.
The coupling consists of two half-couplings (steel discs) and one rubber coupling body. Each half-coupling has steel pins that fit into the corresponding bushings on the coupling body, and in the center there is a special splined seat for the gearbox and rotor shafts. When the lifting height of the electric hoist exceeds 18 meters, two compensating couplings are used and an intermediate shaft is added. The second coupling differs from the main one only in the size of the bore diameters, which are equal.
Under normal operating conditions it is recommended to check the condition of the compensating coupling pack every two years, and when the hoist operates under heavy conditions, to shorten the inspection interval to once a year. If it has visible damage or tears in the rubber plates, it must be replaced.
